Class Objectives: Students will explore the basic elements clowning and physical theater: Play, Risk, Listening, Action, Relationships, and Audience. These concepts are explored through theater games that encourage the participants to engage physically and emotionally but not intellectually. More info.
Skills to be developed:
· Increase an awareness of audience and partners.
· Awaken the impulse to play.
· Thinking and responding on your feet.
· Building a relationship with the audience.
Class Structure: This eight week course will be a combination of theater games to introduce skills and topic. And these skills will then be applied to text-based scene work.
